This has been a lovely day from
beginning to end; cool & pleasant.
Willie & I put the roof on the office
porch, finishing it except the painting.
I have not felt quite well
but kept going all day. Afternoon
the Sherwood boys played a game
of Base Ball against the "Highland"
nine, and beat them 30 to 7 notwithstanding
the Highland team
were all men & voters, & ours were
all boys, except three young men
of the neighborhood, & most of the
boys were little fellows. "at that".
I walked up to the store & Gideon
Gilpin's after supper.

Another beautiful day, but
rather warmer. Rachael Cash was
here & washed for H. Willie & Dora
went to "Glenwood" to see Ida and
the baby who are there but expect
to go home on monday next.
Bro Charles called & smoked
a pipe with me. Dora & Willie
came home after we were done
supper: they drove "Frank" to
Clifford Water's buggy. After
supper Willie walked away somewhere
to Brighton I suppose.
I still feel weak & miserable.
