Ther. 56o. TUES. APRIL 4th, 1893 W Wind

Was called out of bed about
midnight last and rode down
to John Lethebridge's again to
arrest hemorrhage from the
wound in Jno: Jr's face, it had
ceased bleeding before I arrived
came home before 2 o'clk this
a.m. Willie came home about
10. o'clock a.m. I drove over
to J Janney Shoemaker's to see
about getting some straw.
Afternoon I rode to "Marden".
Worked at banking the ice house,
rubbed the ground where the
potatoes are planted, etc. etc.
and am very tired tonight.
Willie rode one of "Ned Gilpin's
ponies to Muncaster's expecting
to attend a dance at "Lum " Bell's
tonight. With the Muncaster boys.
& stay with them tonight.
Lizze called on way to the
"Horticultural," which meets at
"Stanmore.

Clear & beautiful day again.
I drove down to Ashton & started
to go to "Marden" but met Mrs:
R R Moore Jr: on the road and
turned back. I took Dora with
me as far as the Insurance
Office. I brought her back with
me. Charley & Mr William
Bolyn arrived from "Lincoln"
Va.: about 6. o'clk p.m. with
three horses one of which is
sold (through Harry Lee) to a
gentleman in "Laurence" as a
saddle horse. They drove "Bell"
to a light "no top" wagon, bringing a colored
boy ("Frank") who rode & led the
other horses one of which ("Socks") C
brought over to sell or exchange
as it does not suit him being a colt &
a "fool" (as C says) & he has no time to
bother with such an animal.
