Samuel Hopkins was appointed Foreman & under His guidance
We started for a walk over the farm, first going in to the
garden where we sampled some grapes and noticed things generally.
The celery bed looked as though it would produce well. But
cabbage seemeed to be affected by an insect or some thing
that was materially injuring it
The barn was like most person' e this season not very full,
was
and the floor on part of injuring very much from a bad roof
made of gravel which has I believe generally proved a failure.
We went across a grass field to see look at some corn sown
Broad Cast which would make an elegant lot of feed if properly
cured, no doubt the experiment will be tried by a Good many
another year.
On our way to the house we looked at some cows not
particularly fine ones were noticed, Considerable discussion
was entered into about different breeds of Cattle for milk cows.
After reading the Minutes of the last meeting and partaking
of a bountiful supper the following questions were asked and Ansd.
