We passed over several fields of
oats, which together with the
rest of the farm looked well.

After returning to the house an article
from one of the members that had been
read at a previous meeting was again
read for the benefit of those who
had not heard it; it was mostly
in regard to writing essays in order
to keep up the interest necessary to make
us prosper as a body, and improve ourselves
individually, as nearly all of
our members consented to do their
part, it was decided to have an essay
for every meeting, or at least have a
member appointed to write one, on any
subject he preferred, they must be appointed
from the roll, and notified
by the secretary when their turn comes.

The following questions were asked and
answered.
1st What is the best way to raise calves
Let them have half of the milk or put
them with a stripper
2nd Our host desired us to suggest some
plan for him to do away with so much
cropping
Advise breaking up as little sod as
possible, and not raise any more grain
than necessary.
