I drove Charley down to
the store after early breakfast,
and went to C Stabler's
to see Annie Hill again.
Drove C down again after
dinner. and went after him
about dusk. Willie went
down with me & brought
Bulwars's horse home with
him. to keep whilst its
owner is in Philad^a where
he is going tomorrow.
Caroline Marryatt was
here to see about her account.
I wrote to N F Taylor

Willie rode Bulwar's
horse to school. I drove
to Ashton & to Chas Stabler's
Took shovel & hoe & opened
a drain from "mud hole"
between here & "Sherwood
school House". Commenced
raining about dark, after
threatning more or less all
day. Considerable thunder
& lightning. I put down
a new oak floor in the
front stall in the stable.
and feel tired. had a game
of whist with the children
in the evening.
