Quite warm all through last
night. The locusts kept up their
"chorus" at intervals the entire
night. Ernest here before 6.o'clock
to breakfast with C.
Willie went to Brookeville
acadamy (in the spider) and
paid Mr Nelson Ten Dollars
Shower about noon Heavy
thunder gusts went both
north & south of us
Tom Budd Jr. here for
advice & medicine &c.

Ther. Tues. June 16, 1885 Wea.

Wm Platt came at 9.o'clk
this morning and placed the
ballance of the lot for corn
&c. we planted the corn & some
potatoes. After noon we had
a fine rain just after we had
finished putting in the corn etc.
Sort of a "gust" just at supper
time, Charles walked us
home from the store
Rained "hard" at intervals
up to late bed time.
