It certainly has been a long time since I last sat down to write you. Jo tells me that you are no longer at Stanford - that you have gone to Washington. I was certainly glad to hear of it. From all reports of the current confusion down there, a good man is more sorely needed there than he is even in the Army.

Speaking of the Army - it has certainly scattered the old bunch. Reports filter back - one of them being the tragic death of the Pete [Jove?]; but it is rare to hear from them directly.
