curving upwards as teh end; A with sloping serif across top,
wide H, single large steep hyphen. In use throughout.

- The pritners name appears in the dedication.
- THe 1st book printed by Lignennine is the Quintilian
completed 3 Aug. 1470. He continued printing steadily
until 15 May 1476 when there is a break in his
activity, which does not seem to have resumed until
1481 (2nd press) - 3 books only.
- The use of Z for & is apparently found only in this book.
- original issue with dedication to Pope Sixtus IV. (1471-1484(
2nd " " to Cardinal Guillaume.

- Lignamine - the 3rd printing establishment in Rome. He (HEHL copy)
was a native of Messina + papal physician.
- As originally issued, this book began on I6b whith a dedication by
Lignamine to the Pope occupying 3 pages. When the dedication to
Estouteville was subsitituted the whole of the 1st quire was
reprinted. iN the issue with the dedication to the Pope the type page
of quire [a] is 124-5mm broad + the 1st quire [q] is also different
beign 128mm broad + beginning A] Postolorium Svccessionllnibus -
The book was thus apparently printed on 2 presses, the 2nd starting with quire [q]
