In addition to the title cuts, printers mark + capitals,
there are 110 indicudual woodcuts + 4 repeats (114 total)
Floreated initials. The translator is unknown. THe translation
would appear to have been made from one of the ed. in German printed
say before 1497 - most probably it was reprinted from the Lubecked.
Second ed. in Low German; the 1st was printed at
Lubeck in 1497 (Schreiber 3561; Proctor 2641; BMC II p. 559)
Text begins on 3rd leaf (marked A2).
Brunet L'ed. de Roztock dorth Ludovicum Dietz, 1519 in 4^0
.... donne une redaction en vers bas-saxons faite
sur le texte interpole de Nurmb. 1494, avec la copie des
planches de cette meme ed; elle a ete vendu 1 liv. lish.
en mar. r. chez Rich, Heber. M. Graesse dit que
probablement l'ed. de 1519 a ete precedu par une
autre de Lubeck, 1497.

-At least 12 German editions appeared before brant's
death in 1521.
-The printer L. Dietz moved later to Lubeck where he
printed in 1433 a beautiful Low (Platt) German
Bible. Later he moved back to Rostock; where he
died in 1559.
