- First authenticated production appears to be the
Valerius Maximus of 18 June 1482. THe
partnership of Jacobus Britannicus with the
brothers was dissolved at the end of 1484 after
having executed some 9 editions + thence forward
to the end of the century the brothers continued
to print alone.
- The brothers de Gregoris of Forlivio were important
Venetian printers until 1503.
- Contains excerpts from Metaphysica, Libri physicorum,
De Coele et Mundo, De Somnio etc.
- These dicta have been set forth, by Brother Thophilus
of Ferrara according to the expositions of St. Thomas
Aauinas + other scholars + a note on the last page
tells us that the book was brought out at the
expense of Alexander Calcedonius of Pisaurum, a
merchant. There is a further statement to the
effect that a special license was obtained from
the Doge, + that anyone found pritning this book
in the confines of the Venetian State would be
mulcted + suffer confiscation of the entire edition:
probably one of the first instances of publisher's
copyright.
- Ferrariis - a follower + admirer of S. Thomas
Aquinus - a Dommician - lived 2nd part of the 15th C.
- The very extensive table lists about 2000 terms
+ gives their reference in Aristotle's work. A4-G8
