Treasurer of The University of North Carolina, and the Trustees' Committee on Real Property have recommended the sale of the said 15 acres, approximately, at a price of not less than $4,500 net;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said 15 acre tract be sold, subject to the laws and regulations governing the disposition of real property owned by the State of North Carolina, at a price which will net the University not less than $4500 for the use of said John B. Weaver Student Loan Fund.

Mr. Umstead moved that the foregoing resolution be adopted. The motion was duly seconded, and the resolution was adopted.

Gift to State College of Research Station at Hatteras

The following resolution was unanimously adopted:

WHEREAS, the Charles F. Johnson Foundation, Inc. , in its research station located in Hatteras Township, Dare County, has been engaged in a fisheries research study which is now discontinuing; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Zoology of North Carolina State of the University of North Carolina at Raleigh, through the courtesy and cooperation of the Charles F. Johnson Foundation, Inc. , has been using the facilities of the said research station for a program of research in marine life involving undergraduate and graduate research and teaching; and

WHEREAS, the Charles F. Johnson Foundation, Inc. , wishes to assist the research program of the University and to this end has delivered a deed of gift conveying to the University the land and improvements on which its research station is located, the buildings and other improvements alone being appraised at $30,000; and

WHEREAS, the University Administration and the Trustees' Committee on Real Property recommend acceptance of this generous gift to the North Carolina State of the University of North Carolina at Raleigh;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive Committee hereby authorizes the acceptance of said deed of gift and directs the President or his designated representative to notify the Department of Administration and proceed with the transaction, subject to the laws, regulations and procedures governing the acquisition of real property by the State of North Carolina.

Right-of-Way to Highway Commission in Richmond County

WHEREAS, the University of North Carolina has received from the State Department of Administration, in behalf of the State Highway Commission, a request that right-of-way be granted to the State Highway Commission over land in Richmond County leased to the 4-H Club, apart of State College, by the Wildlife Resources Commission, for the purpose of improving Secondary Roads Nos. 1487 and 1452; and

WHEREAS, in these circumstances the consent of the Lessor as well as the consent of the Owner is required; and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that the granting of the rightof-way will not harmfully affect the operation of the 4-H Club; and

WHEREAS, the Chancellor and the Business Manager of North Carolina State College, the President and the Business Officer and Treasurer of The University of North Carolina, and the Trustees' Committee on Real Property recommend that the requested right-ofway be given;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees authorizes the allocation to the
