September 22nd
Sabbath. Revd. W. Mills preached 11 oclk Mr Roberts gave a short address in the afternoon after his return from S. School. as there was no minister. Matron went at 2 oclk to visit Annie Grant at the Infirmary. send a Tract No 52 " Value and Efficacy of the Blood of Christ" and urged upon her the importance of accepting the offer of salvation.
There are three of our old inmates in No. 11 ward. two of them want to return to the Refuge.
Mr. Thompson gave an address in the eveg. all the inmates present in number 42.

Monday. 23rd. Wrote to Dr. Nathan as Maria Hadnett has something in her legs, causing pain and swelling.
the doctor came this eveg. and ordered a lotion and a few days rest for Maria.
Teusday [tuesday] 24th
It is so we tand stormy we are beging. to fear lest the contract washing will not be ready in time. there's 257 Blankets not done yet. We feel the need of a drying room on [inserted] such wet days.

Wednesday 25th. Lady Young called and wishes us to alter the chemies made at "Farmer & Painters" and make them like those made here.
