September 26th. Took Amy F. to Mrs Pausey's but she has nothing for her yet. has promised to write.
Lady Young called with some work. She said our court yard needed a flag. [flagging] pavement and if she had not been going away she would have had it done.
Friday. 27th Gentlemens general committee. present Revd Thos. Smith, Hon Secy, Mr Goodlet Dr Moon and Mr Ceane [?]
Dr. Nathan ordered medicine for Mary Nolan & says she is in a bad way through her abandoned life.

Saturday.
28th The S.S. Kaikoura's washing all taken away this morng.
Kate Barry ( whose Parents are bigoted Romanists) is busy scrubg. the passage and singing "I know I'm weak and sinful But Jesus will forgive" &c. what a mercy it will be if she believes that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. the only name given under heaven, among men wherby [whereby] we must be saved.
Sabbath 29th Mr. H. Moses gave an address from 1 Timy. Chapt. 15th verse. "This is a faithfull [faithful] saying and worthy of all
acceptation. that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am Cheif [chief]". all the inmates present and very attentive [2 words underscored]. Revd. W. Robson 3 oclk and Mr. H. B. Lee in the eveg.
