Monday. We have much more washing for this
week.
Hester Bruce and Elizth. Strickland escaped after tea. they were first missed when mustering for eveng. prayers,
Mrs. A was sent to tell the police, and to ask if they would please to bring them back if they found them. They are both very naughty girls. Hester (a mere child) is far advanced
in wickedness

Teusday 26th. The two runaways were brought back
by a policeman, they promise to behave better in future,
The Matron saw Sarah Farrington sitting on the kerbstone near Deurands [Durands] Alley in a very destitute condition, pointed out to her the awfull sin of such a life. particularly in her that had been taught by ministers & others at the Refuge that prostitutes were like vermin infecting this City.
