JOHN B. HAWLEY,
CONSULTING ENGINEER.
MEMBER AMERICAN SOCIETY CIVIL ENGINEERS.
MEMBER ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF THE SOUTH.
CITY ENGINEER, FORT WORTH.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Dec. 4th 1903. 190

Hon. Mayor and City Council,
City.

Gentlemen:

Many months ago, when the matter of a new City Map was being
agitated by the Texas Tile Co., we, your Mayor and City Engineer,
feeling that the many changes in Additions and Subdivisions made since
the Hawley map was issued, necessitated a more complete map for our
seeral departments, assured the Title Co., that if they would have their
contemplated map lithographed, and turn five copies over to the City for
departmental use, we would recommend the payment to them of $200.00.

Upon the recent delivery of the maps, we discovered that the number-
ing and other items thereon are not what we anticipated them to be, and
accordingly the map not of value to the City, anticipated.

We therefore recommend that the sum of $100.00, one hundred dollars,
be allowed the title Co. in full settlement of the account.

Respectfully,

T. J. Powell
Mayor.

John B. Hawley
City Engineer.
