Cold – Eddie Rudd & I got all
the wire from the tree by
the corner over to Glen [Fablers?]
Barn roof. He bought
it from sneze white
for 50¢ pretty cheap
a lot of it was insulated
He & Earl Butler or Bud
are going to rig up
a telegraph. Bud says
he wants 50-50 on the
wire. It isnt fair, because
Ed. gets the sets puts up
old wire & bugs the new
wine. Bud's wheels are going
around wrong.

Feb. 21, 1917
Cold. Nothing Particular
today except that I
had some fun up to
school in back of old man
clarks place It was just
one glass of ice

Feb. 22, 1917.
[Fair?] – I am going to [machias?]
tomorrow morning on the
8.15. My Sister and her husband
live over there. Her
husband’s name is Mr.
Roth. He is proff of the
school over there.

Feb. 24, 1917.
Warm this morning & cold
this Aft. Machias is
pretty much of a 1 horse
town. 3 grades in 1 room
at a time & up here to
Perry there are 3 rooms
to 1 grade. You see there
is some diff. Sat. Aft. not
more than 12 rigs
passed through main
st. in Machias. Fri.
night Machias Town
team Played Bliss
Town team. Bliss beat
31 to 21. Bliss had the
heaviest man though
