NOVEMBER 1944

26 Sun - 25th after Trinity (last)
Cold wet day. Went
to Sunday School in morning & taught primary.
Five airmen came in at dinner time. Went to
S. School again in afternoon. We all went
to Little Thetford in evening with Constables.
[...] Dave [...] Denys & with us. Daddy
preached.

27 Mon
Very cold day. Did experiments in
biology. French lesson rather dry. Didn't do
much in free lessons. Went to the cathedral
in afternoon for a practise of carols. Didn't
do any H.W. in evening. Went to camp cinema in
evening and saw "Song of Russia." Very good.

28 Tues
Miserable day. Did not have any
lessons at school at all. Went to cathedral
in morning for a rehearsal. Had the recital
afternoon. Miss M. Hayward played the violin
I gave out programmes. Dave & Colin went. Did
no H.W. in evening. Went for a short walk with [Bill]
and one with Dave.

29 Wed
Lovely day. Had to draw figures
in art. Singing & Gym quite nice. Spoke
to Hump in the dinner hour. Did notes in
history. Mummy went to the pictures to
see For Whom the Bells Toll with Daddy
Did H.W. all the evening. Bill on
duty all night.
