NOVEMBER 1944

23 Thur - First Quarter, 7.53 a.m.
Lovely day. Discussed
education in current events. Only had
one free lesson & did no work in it. Did
notes all the time in biology. Had nice
bible class in evening. Dave Colin Billy
and Joan Hart came

24 Fri
Quite a nice day. Didn't do much
in free lesson. Scripture lessons quite
interesting. Went out in dinner hour and
did some shopping. Had a nice game of
hockey. Denys came in for a short time early
in evening. Did some homework. We all went to
bed a nine o'clock

25 Sat - s.r. 7.34, s.s. 3.59
Quite a cold day.
Helped Mummy all the morning. She did
the washing. I did veges. Had a bath in
afternoon. We had a party in evening. Dave
Colin Bill & George came. We played games
until after twelve, and had a very good time.

Lift Rhubarb and Seakale roots for forcing. Prepare
root cuttings of Seakale, which should be stored in sand
in a sheltered place until planting time in spring. Should
it be necessary to replenish the stock of bush fruits the
present is a good time to insert cuttings of Gooseberries,
Black and Red Currants. Prune Vines as soon as the
leaves fall and thoroughly cleanse both Vines and houses.
