14 Thur
Quite nice day. Gerald went on
leave. Had a terrible scripture lesson with
Miss Hepplestone. Had new chemistry
mistress, she is rather nice. Also had
Miss Brown Biology mistress. Did some H.W.
Bill came twice in evening.

15 Fri
Very windy day. Had another nasty
scripture lesson. Had English with Miss
Defew, and Current Events with Miss Tilley
Did not play hockey in afternoon, had game
in gym. Bill came in evening and we
played cards. Denys came to supper

16 Sat - s.r. 5.36, s.s. 6.13
Lovely day. Helped
mummy all the morning. Made 2 pies
and a tart. Had a bath in afternoon
and did some homework. Did some
more homework in evening and some
sewing. Taffy came back from leave

Late Apples and Pears for storing must be left on the
tree until fully developed, otherwise they will not keep
until their proper season. Thoroughly cleanse the fruit
store in readiness to receive the crops. Afford sufficient
support to autumn-fruiting Raspberries and thin out
weak, superfluous canes.
