Taffy went on 9 days leave.
7 Thur
Poured with rain all day long.
Helped Mummy in morning and cleaned my
bedroom. We went to Ely in afternoon. I bought
myself a pair of shoes 27/- and a comb 2/-. Mummy
bought me a coat & jumper. Denys came in in
evening a we played pounce.

8 Fri
Stormy day. Helped Mummy
all the morning. Wrote to Dick to congratulate
him on his school cert results. Went to Sutton
an got some sweets. Read in afternoon. Betty
Ambrose came to tea. Messed about in evening
Denys & Ted came in

9 Sat - Last Quarter 12.3 p.m.
s.r. 5.25, s.s. 6.29
Quite a nice day.
Helped Mummy all the morning. Bill's day
off. Had a bath in afternoon. Bill came
to tea and Denys came in evening.
We played games and Bill & Daddy
read Wind in the Willows to us. Went to bed
late.

Make a sowing of Turnip "Green Top Stone" to
provide spring supplies of Turnip tops.
On well-drained soil sow selected hardy annuals to
stand the winter and flower early next year. Cut out
sufficient of the oldest wood in Rambler Roses to make
room for the young shoots of the current year.
