JULY 1944

16 Sun - 6th after Trinity
Lovely day. Went to S.
School in morning and taught Primary.
Bill came in afternoon & also Muriel and [t]
Mrs Hump & Maureen came and brought a
little puppy Kim who is very sweet. Everybody
stayed for tea and supper except Mrs Hump who
only stayed to tea.

17 Mon
Lovely day. Had English Literature
exam in morning. 2½ hr. I cycled to school.
Bill and Gerald popped round at dinner time.
Revised in afternoon, Bill & Gerland came
in evening and Bill helped me with my revision.

Valeries Birthday
18 Tues
Lovely day. Went to school by bus
and had Geometry exam in morning. Messed about
rest of day waiting to be medically examined
but was not sent for. Alex and Phil popped
in in evening for a short time.

19 Wed
Quite a nice day. Had a practical
needlework exam in morning which wasn't too
bad and a very nasty science exam afternoon.
Did some revision in evening. Picked strawberries
with Alex and went mole hunting in fields
down Haddenhorn road with Kim and him.
Bill came in evening.
