JULY 1944

2 Sun - 4th after Trinity
Lovely day. Went to
sunday school in morning and taught primary.
revised outside in afternoon. Mrs Humphreys and
Maureen came for tea. Phil came for short time in
evening. Colin Gilbert and Taffy came for
supper. It was a farewell party because they
are posted.

3 Mon
Poured nearly all day. Helped
Mummy in the morning and we washed
in the afternoon. Phil came in evening and
we had a fight. Ernest came to wish us goodbye
Alex Simpson and L. bombadier in Phils crew
came in for supper. Wrote to Jane & Betty.

4 Tues
Lovely day. Helped Mummy in morning
and cooked the dinner. Phil & Alec went on leave.
Helped with the serving. Jerry Nickson
came in evening. Colin came to wish us
goodbye. They all had supper together
Betty & Elsie popped in too.

5 Wed
Nice day. Helped Mummy in
morning and served strawberries. Ted
came in evening and made us a chicken
coop. Elsie came & picked rasps. Peggy
Davison arrived in evening. Colin
left this dorne.
