On motion of Ald McDermott seconded by Ald Dunn
Ordered, That in the opinion of this Council it is
desirable to amend the Fire limits so that the Construction
of such a building as mentioned be not an infraction of it
that such amendment should be made at the next session of
the Council to that effect and that in the meantime this Council
will not authorise any interference with Jm Strainge should
he proceed with the Construction of said building

On motion the Council adjourned

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the
City of Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Adams, Carson, Clements, Dunn, Little
McDermott, Redden, Robinson, Shannon,
Thompson, Whiting, J Wilson

The Mayor stated the meeting was called to take
up Report of Committee on City Property. Re
purchase of furniture from Fire Brigade.

The Chairman from the Committee on City
Property brought up a Report which was read

On motion of Ald. J Wilson seconded by Ald. Little
Ordered, That the report of the Committee on
City Property be received

On motion of Ald. Whiting seconded by Ald. Carson
Ordered, That the property claimed and owned
by the Fire Brigade should be purchased from them at
the price named by them as soon as the Finance
Committee report funds for that purpose

Ald: Carson submitted memoranda purporting
to be receipts and disbursements of the Benevolent
Fund.

On motion of Ald: Carson seconded by Ald: Whiting
Ordered, That no action be taken to recover the
balance of the benevolent fund - eleven dollars and
twenty five cents

On motion the Council adjourned
