Ald Clements brought up the petition of Mrs
Ann McKillop asking compensaiton for injuries
inflicted on her caused by alleged defective Board
walk. Referred to the Finance Committee

Ald McDermott brought up the petition of
James Eves and others praying for a Gas Lamp
at the corner of Bay and Bond Head streets.

On motion of Ald McDermott seconded by Ald Little
Ordered, That the communication of James Eves
and others be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas with power to act.

Ald Dunn brought up the petition of John McLeod
for permission to cover house with Iron plate.

On motion of Ald Dunn seconded by Ald Little
Ordered, That the prayer of the petition of
John McLeod be granted.

Ald Dunn brought up the petition of Robert Carson
and others praying for a Gas Lamp on the Corner of Alfred
and Upper Earl streets. Referred to the Committee on
Fire, Water and Gas

Ald McKelvey brought up the petition of Thomas
Taylor and others praying that a Gas or Coal Oil
Lamp be placed on Arch street near the North end.

McKelvey moves seconded by Ald J Wilson
That the petition of Thomas Taylor and
others be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas with power to act - which being put was lost.

Ald Carson brought up the petition of the Fire
Department asking permission to hold their Assembly at the
City Hall on Monday November the 2nd.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Dunn
Ordered, That the petition of James Davis on behalf
of Fire Department be granted.

Ald McKelvey brought up the petition of R. McDonald and
others asking for a drain on Pembroke street
Referred to the Committee on Streets.

Ald Gildersleeve brought up the petition of John Brokenshire
respecting taxes. Referred to the Court of Revision.

Ald Redden brought up the petition of the Mechanics
Institute praying for a remission of taxes.

On motion of Ald Redden seconded by Ald Whiting
Ordered, That the petition of the Mechanics Institute
be granted.

Ald Gildersleeve brought up the petition of Donald Fraser
and others praying for a Drain in King street - Referred to
the Committee on Streets

Ald Gildersleeve brought up the petition of John
Young on behalf of the Sheddon Company praying an open
shed which he erected may be allowed to remain
