On motion the Council adjourned.

Kingston July 14 1885

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of
the City of Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship The Mayor
Aldermen
Adams, Bermingham, Carson, Clements, Drennan,
Dunn, Gildersleeve, Harty, Little, McDermott,
McKelvey, Redden, Robinson, Shannon,
Thompson, J Wilson, W Wilson

The By Law entitled A By Law to raise by way of
Loan the sum of $16000 for the purposes therein
mentioned was read a third time and passed.
Yeas - 11 Nays 7

On motion of Ald Harty seconded by Ald Clements
Ordered, That during the next six weeks
the Finance Committee be authorised to pay the
mens wages per pay list and all necessary accounts
properly vouched.

The Chairman from the Committee on Licenses
brought up a Report (Number 357 Book E) which
was read and adopted.

Ald J Wilson from the Select Committee on reception
of volunteers brought up a report (Number 358 Book E)
which was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald Thompson moves seconded by Ald
Bermingham. Ordered that this Council send a deputation
consisting of the Mayor and City Clerk to attend the funeral
of the late Col. Williams of the Midland Battalion on the
day appointed for same.

On motion the Council adjourned.
