of Kingston was held this day. Present

Bermingham, Carson, C lements, Dunn,
Gildersleeve, Harty, Irwin, Little, McDermott,
McKelvey, Redden, Robinson, Thompson,
Whiting, J Wilson, W Wilson

A Communication from James Agnew Esquire City
Solicitor was read In Re Stewart vs City new trial refused.
There was no action taken thereon

A Communication from Alfred Brown was read
complaining of the state of repair of the roads in the
Township of Pittsburgh. Referred to the Committee
on Streets.

A Communication from HA Ward Mayor of Port Hope
was read respecting reception of Midland Battalion

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Whiting
Ordered, That the Communication of the Mayor of
Port Hope be referred to the Mayor, Aldermen Harty, McKelvey,
J Wilson and Whiting with power to take such action as
they may desire advisable and necessary to report at a
special meeting of the Council to be called for that purpose.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That this Council desire to express its
thanks to the Reeve and Council of Renfrew for their kind
invitation and also for the very handsome manner in
which they were entertained during their visit.

Ald Whiting brought up the petition of Edwin Mestyn
regarding
