Ald McKelvy for Ald Dunn brought up the petition
of Samuel Harkness respecting the line of Johnson
Street

On motion of Ald McKelvy seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the petition of Samuel Harkness
be referred to the Committee on Streets with power to act

Ald Shannon brought up the petition of Jane Rowlands
praying permission to be allowed to remove one of the
trees in front of her residence George street. Referred
to the Chairman of the Committee on Streets with
power to act.

Ald McDermott brought up the petition of
J Doolan and others praying a street may be opened
over lot number eleven on the South Easterly side of
Montreal street on plan of sub division of farm lot
A. Referred to the Committee on Streets

Ald McKelvy for Ald Dunn brought up the
petition of Thomas Elmer praying for a remission of
a portion of License money. Referred to the Committee on
Licenses.

Ald W Wilson brought up the petiton of James
Bennett asking for two months leave of absence

On motion of Ald W Wilson seconded by Ald Thompson
Ordered, That the petition of James Bennett
be granted

accounts brought up a Report (Number 349 Book E)
which was read

Ald Thompson moves seconded by Ald Bermingham
That the Report of the Committee on Finance
and Accounts be received and adopted.

Ald Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald Redden
That the report be amended to the effect that the
relief to families of volunteers on active servce in the North
West be continued

In amendment 2nd
Ald Harty moves seconded by Ald Jas Wilson
That the Report of the Finance Committee be
amended by striking out the last clause which withdraws
