The Chairman from the Committee on Licenses
brought up a Report (Number 216 Book E) which
was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald J Wilson seconded by Ald Downey
Ordered, That the matter of erecting a fire
alarm at or near "The Grove House Inn" King street
West be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas to report.

On motion of Ald Smythe seconded by Ald RJ Carson
Ordered, That the sum of $800 appropriated
as an Indemnity to the Mayor in the Budget be placed
to his credit and paid to him by the Treasurer.

On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded by Ald Smyth
Ordered, That whereas a standard time is being
adopted by the Railways throughout Canada and the United
States and generally adopted by the Cities along the
Grand Trunk lines that this be an order to the Caretaker
of the City Clock to confirm the City's time with the
standard time to be adopted on the GTR on November
4th.

On motion of Ald McGuire seconded by Ald McIntyre
Ordered, That the sum placed in the Budget
for the Reporters be placed to their credit and be paid to
them by the Treasurer.

On motion the Council adjourned.
