Ald Clements in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause as
amended. The Report was received.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed.

Ald Allen introduced "A By Law respecting the
sale of fresh meat and to repeal a By Law which was
read a first time.

The 30 Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the whole on the second reading.

The Committee rose and the chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was
received.

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By
Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald McGuire introduced a By Law to prevent
profane swearing and the use of obscene, blasphemous
and grossly insulting languagae which was read a first time

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole into Committee of
the whole [sic] on the second reading.

By Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald Irving introduced a By Law to raise by
way of Loan the sum of $8000.00 for the purposes of
the Public School Board of the City of Kingston therein
mentioned which was read a first time.

That the 30th Rule be suspended which
being put was lost on a two third vote.

Ald McIntyre from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up a Report (Number 212 Book E)
which was read and adopted.

A Communication from Drs Lavell, Fenwick and
Sullivan In Re fees inspection of City Buildings was read
and referred to the Committee on Fin and and [sic] accounts

Ald Allen brought up the petition of the Montreal
Transportation Company asking permission to allow an open
shed to reain for a few months. Referred to the Committee
