The Council went in to Committee of the whole
on the Consolidation of the By Laws.
Ald R.J. Carson in the chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the chairman reported the
second reading of the By Laws clause by clause as
amended. The Report was received.

On motion of Ald Gilderesleeve seconded by Ald Irving
Ordered, That the thanks of the Council be
given to Ald Smythe and the Committee in charge
of the Consolidation of the By Laws for the attention &
earnestness with which he discharged the duties imposed on them
in connection therewith

On motion the Council adjourned until tomorrow
evening at the usual hour.

City of Kingston was held this day pursuant to adjournment. Present

Aldermen
Allen, John Carson, R.J. Carson, Clements,
Creeggan, Dunn, Gildersleeve, Irving,
McGuire, McIntyre, Quigley, Redden,
Shaw, Smythe, J Wilson, W Wilson

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 207
Book E) which was read and adopted

Ald Smythe from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Nunber 208 Book E)
which was read and adopted.

Also a Report (Number 209, Book E) which
was read

Ald Smythe moves seconded by Ald McIntyre
That the Report No 209 be received and adopted

In amendment 1st
Ald Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald Redden
That the report in regard to the petition of John
McMillan be referred back to the Committee for further
consideration which being put was lost.

In amendment 2nd
Ald Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald Carson
