the Fire Department be granted.

asking to lease two feet of land belonging to the City on the
extension of Bagot and not required for said extension

Ald Downing submitted a resolution In Re sale of
said land South Side of Bagot street

On motion of Ald RJ Carson seconded by Ald McIntyre
Ordered, That the Communication of Jacob Bajus be
referred to the Committee on City Property with power to act

A Communication from John J Maloney was read In Re
covering drain on his property. Referred to the members of Cataraqui
Ward

A Communication from JO Gardiner & Co was read respecting
grating corner of Division and Earl streets. No action.

A Communication from AH Gray was read respecting
stoppage of Drain. Referred to the members of Victoria Ward

A Communication from AP Knight on behalf of the
Committee of Citizens In Re establishment of a Medical College
for women was read asking for the use of certain rooms in
the City Buildings for the uses of said College

A Communication from the Hon. Sir Richard J Cartwright
on a similar subject was read

Ald McGuire moves seconded by Ald Whiting
That the prayer of the petition of Sir Richard
J. Cartwright asking for a lease of Ontario Hall and a room
above it for five years for the use of the Ladies Medical College
be granted subject to the conditions contained in the
recommendaion annexed to the said petition

In amendment
Ald McIntyre moves seconded by Ald Downing
That the Communication of Mr AP Knight be
referred to the Committee on City Property to report which
being put was lost
