At $1100. Yeas 13 Nays 4.
Ald: McGuire moves seconded by Ald: Allen
That the item of $618.75 this Council has not
had before it sufficient information to warrant it at present
in passing that item that therefore this item should be
struck out and that the item of incidentals be increased
to $850 in order that if hereafter this Council shall be in
possession of sufficient particulars of the proposed
alterations to the Engine House " and shall decide that be
made there may be sufficient funds to merit the
expenditure for such alterations which being put
was lost
Ald: Redden moves seconded by Ald: Irving
That the sums $250 and $1000 be taken enable
for drainage purposes and the question of its
expenditure be left to the Committee on Streets to report
In Amendment
Ald: Creeggan moves seconded by Ald: John Carson
That the sum of $1250 be appropriated, providing
that no money be expended in the Construction of drains
although appropriated until a report be received from
Mr Nash pointing out the most efficient economical one
to the City which being put was Carried

On motion of Ald: Redden seconded by Ald: McGuire
Ordered, That the sum of One hundred dollars
be placed to the credit of a committee of three for the
use of the Bathers and that it be a part of the item of
Five hundered dollars in contengencies and that the Council
be composed of Aldn Whiting, McGuire and mover.
The Budget was passed as amended
On motion of Ald: Irving seconded by Ald: Redden
Ordered, That Ald: Clements acts as member on
Streets until the return of Ald: Wilson as member of Ontario
Ward
On motion the Council adjourned to the usual hour
tomorrow evening
