to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas

Ald Whiting moves seconded by Ald RJ Carson
That the Chairman of Fire, Water and Gas be
instructed and empowered to take such action and incur
such expense as may be necessary during the year to
properly water and keep the dust thoroughly laid upon
the following streets namely:

Princess from Ontario to Barrie
Brock > Ontario > Sydenham
Clarence > Ontario > Bagot
Ontario > Johnson > Queen
King > William > Queen
Wellington > Johnson > Queen
Bagot > Brock > Queen
Montreal > Brock > Queen

and that he have control of the City horses and have power
to hire from time to time such other horses and drivers therefor
as may be required for that purpose and have power to purchase
another watering cart.

In amendment
Ald Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald RJ Carson
That the Watering be extended on King street to West
street - which being put was carried and the original motion was
carried as amended. Yeas 15 Nays 5

On motion of Ald W Wilson seconded by Ald Law
Ordered, That the Committee on Streets be
authorised to advertise for Tenders for Board Walks and
Crossings and the Carting required for the City for the Year
1883.

On motion of Ald Irving seconded by Ald Whiting
Ordered, That it be an instruction to the
Committee on City Property to report on some scheme
by which an improvement may be made to this Council
Chamber, to the City offices and such other improvements
to City Property as on the Judgment of the Committee may
deem advisable.

On motion the Council adjourned.
