Ald: R.J. Carson brought up the petition of McKelvey
and Birch praying for a sufficient drain to be constructed
on Brock street. Referred to the Committee on Streets
Ald: R.J. Carson brought up the petition of David
Simpson praying for aid. Referred to the Committee on
Finance
Ald W. Wilson brought up the petition of William
Wilson, Cotton Mill, and 243 others praying for a Plank Walk
from Grove to Montreal street. Referred to the members

Kilpatrick asking permission to erect an open shed in

Ordered, That the prayer of the petition be granted
Ald: Irving brought up the petition of Henry Brown
and Daniel Corrigan praying for another five years
lease of the premises occupied by them in the City Buildings

Ordered, That the use of one of the City Fire Engines be
granted to the Commandant of the Royal School of Gunnery
for the purpose of pumping out the tank at Fort Henry under
the direction of the Committee On Fire, Water & Gas. Referred
