The Meeting adjourned for want of a quorum

A meeting of the Council fo the Corporation fo the City
of Kingston was held this day Present

His Worship the Mayor

Aldermen
Allen, John Carson, R.J. Carson, Clements
Crothers, Creeggan, Downing, Dunn, Irving
Law, McGuire, Quigley, Redden, Shaw, Smythe
Whiting, J. Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meetings

Ald: R.J. Carson introduced a By Law to provide
standing Conditions for grants of exemption from the
payment of Municipal Taxes - which was read a first
time

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald: Creeggan in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose reported progress and asked
leave to sit again. The Report was received

On motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald: Smythe

Ordered, That copies of the proposed By Law be
printed and circulated among the members of the Council

Ald: R.J. Carson from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought Reports (Numbers 197 and 180
Book E.) which were read and adopted as amended

On motion of Ald: Allen seconded by Ald: McGuire
Ordered, That the items in the Finance Report as
to Water for City Registrar Office and payment for Polling
Booths be referred to the City Solicitor for this opinion

On motion of Ald: Allen seconded by Ald: Crothers
Ordered, That $200 be granted for Street
cleaning
