A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship the Mayor

Aldermen
John Carson, R.J. Carson, Clements, Crothers
Downing, Dunn, Gildersleeve, Irving, Law
McGuire, McIntyre, Redden, Shaw, Smythe
Whiting, J. Wilson, W. Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting

Ald: R.J. Carson from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up a Report (Number 170 Book E)
which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought
up a Report (Number 171 Book E.) which was read
and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on City
Property brought up a Report (Number 172 Book E.)
which was read

Ald: Creeggan here entered

On motion of Ald: Irving seconded by Ald: McIntyre
Ordered, That the report of the Committee On
City Property be received and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas brought up a Report (Number 173 Book E)
which was read and adopted

Ald: R.J. Carson introduced a By Law authorising
His Worship the Mayor and City Treasurer to borrow
Twenty five thousand dollars to meet Current
expenditure which was read a first time

The 30 Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald: Clements in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading
