Ordered, That the Finance Committee be requested
to provide funds to the extent of Two hundred dollars as
soon as possible for the purposes of removing snow

On motion the council adjourned

The Clerk read the minutes of the three last meetings

Ald: R.J. Carson from the Committee on Finance
and accounts brought up a Report (Number 169
Book E.) which was read and adopted

The Mayor stated at the last meeting of the old
Council a Communication from the Reeve and Councillors
of Wolfe Island was referred to the Mayor with power
to act - for improvements at the William street slip, he
suggesting that it be referred to the Committee on
Streets abnd Improvements- which was accordingly
referred

A Communication from Peter Kiel Esquire Fishery
Overseer was read Complaing of Nuisance deposit on
the Ice in the Harbor. Referred to the Committee
on Wharves and Harbor

A Communication from Messrs Walkem & Walkem was
read protesting against the action of the City in permitting and
encouraging of nuisance on property in rear of Mr Breck's house.

Ald: Downing brought up the petition of John Bredon
Ira A Breck and 21 others praying for the removal of
the present nuisance ground in Victoria Ward.

On motion of Ald: Gildersleeve seconded by Ald: Downing
Ordered, That the use of the ground in rear of the
residence of Ira A Breck Esquire as a nuisance ground
be
