complaining of injury to land &c Referred to the
Committee On Streets &c

A Communication from W. J. Crothers was read
complaining of the state of Plank Walk in front of his
residence. Referred to Ald: Allen

Ald: Dupuis brought up the petition of Remigues
Beaupre praying the Council will allow his balconies to
remain. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

Ald: Dupuis brought up the petition of Mrs Sarah
Jones praying for a remission of Taxes. Referred to the
Court of Revision

Ald: Wilson broughtn up the petition of Edward
Saunders complaining of the obstruction of the slip at
the foot of William street &c Referred to the Committee
on Streets &c

Ald: C.F. Gildersleeve brought up the petition of
William Mundell and 36 others praying for a Gas light
on Arch street. Referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas

On motion of Ald: Dupuis seconded by Ald: Creeggan
Ordered, that the City Solicitor and the Chairman of
the Streets Committee be empowered to make the necessary
inquiries and investigations to ascertain the feasability
and probable cost of extending Markland street in a
straight line eastward until it intersects Montreal street

Ald: R.J. Carson moved for an adjournment which
was granted yeas 9 nays 6

On motion the Council adjourned
