The meeting adjourned for want of a quorum

City of Kingston was held this day. Present

Allen, Jochn Carson, R.J. Carson, Clements
Craig, Creeggan, Downing, Dupuis, C.F.
Gildersleeve, Gordon, Little, McCammon
McIntyre, Quigley, Smythe

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meetings

Ald: McCammon asked for the suspension of the
31 Rule of Council which was granted

On motion of Ald: McCammon seconded by Ald: McIntyre
Ordered, that His Worship the Mayor issue his
proclamation proclaiming Wednesday August 16th as the
Civic Holiday

The Council went into Committee of the whole on
the second reading Consolidation of By Laws

Ald: McCammon in the chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave
to sit again

Ald: McIntyre from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up two Reports (Numbers 144 & 145
Book E.) which was read and adopted

Ald Law here entered

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought up a
Report (Number 146, Book E) which was read.

Ald: Dupuis moves seconded by Ald: Allen
That the report of the Committee on Streets be received
