Kingston June 5th 1882
A Special meeting of the Council of the Corporation of
the City of Kingston was held this day Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, John Carson, R.J. Carson, Clements
Craig, Creeggan, Downing, Dupuis, J.P.
Gildersleeve, Gordon, Irving, Law, Little
McCammon, McGuire, McIntyre, Quigley
Redden, Smythe, WIlson.
The Mayor stated the meeting was called to consider
the Report of the Finance Committee on the estimated Revenue
and expenditure of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
for the year 1882 &c
Ald: McIntyre from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up a Report (Number 138 Book E,
which was read
The Council went into Committee of the whole on
the budget &c
Ald: McCammon in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the estimated
revenue and expenditure of the City for the year 1882 adopted
as amended. The Report was received
On motion of Ald: J.P. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald:
Quigley
Ordered, that the Item in the Budget for City
Solicitor be increased by the sum of One hundred
dollars
Yeas Aldn John Carson, R.J. Carson, Creeggan, Dupuis
J.P. Gildersleeve, Gordon, Irving, Law, McGuire
McIntyre, Quigley, Redden, Smythe, Wilson 14
Nays Aldermen Allen, Clements, Little, McCammon 4
On motion of Ald: Dupuis seconded by Ald: Allen
Ordered, that the Item for City Clerk in the Budget
be increased by $200
The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 139 Book E.)
Appropriations. Which was read and adopted
On motion the Council adjourned
