A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present

Creeggan, Downing, Dupuis, J.P. Gildersleeve
Irving, Law, Little, McGuire, Quigley, Redden
Smythe

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meetings

The Council went into Committee of the whole on
the second reading of the consolidation of the City By Laws

Alderman Clements in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave to
sit again. The Report was received

Alderman Dupuis from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 134 Book E.) which was
read and adopted.

Ald: Gordon here entered

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets &c brought up
a Report which was read. The Report was declared not in order

The Chairman from the Committee On Parks brought
up a Report (Number 135 Book E.) which was read

Ald: J.P. Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald: Clements
That the report of the Comittee on Parks be
received and adopted

In Amendment

Ald: Dupuis moves seconded by Ald: Allen
That the report beamended by granting $200.00
to the Park instead of $500 as mentioned in report of Parks

The original resolution being put was carried

A Communication from John O'Shea was read
In Re Junk Licenses. Referred to the Committee on
Licenses

Applications from Samuel Self and Thomas
Coffee for the office of Pound Baliff were read and
referred to the Committee on Finance &c

Ald: R.J. Carson brought up the petition of Edwin
R. Welch respecting charge for frontage. Referred to the
Committee on Streets &c

Ald: Creeggan brought up the petition of Eliza
Grimason praying the Council to construct a drain on Barrie
street to connect with the Princess street Drain
