A Communication from M. Lavell Esq: MD. was read
asking for the use of Ontario Hall for the Annual examination
of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in April
next

On Motion of Ald: R.J. Carson seconded by Ald: Smythe
Ordered, that the prayer of the Communication of
Dr Lavell be granted

A Communication from Mrs Mrs Beale was read respecting
Taxes andd referred to the Committee on Finance and Accounts

A Communication from Thomas Carter was read requesting
to be exempt from paying frontage owing to the shallowness of
the Drain. Referred to the Committee on Streets

A Communication from Samuel Self was read for the
Office of Pound Keeper. There was no action taken thereon

Ald: Allen brought up the petition of Timothy Duffy
respecting broken stones. Referred to the Committee on Streets

Ald: Allen brought up the petition of Daniel McEwen
and six others praying for more light on that part of Ordnance
street between Wellington and Montreal streets. Referred to the
Committee on Fire, Water and Gas
