The meeting adjourned for want of a quorum

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present

Allen, John Carson, R.J. Carson, Clements, Craig
Downing, Dupuis, J.P. Gildersleeve, Gordon, Irving
McCammon, McIntyre, Quigley, Redden, Smythe
Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the four last meetings

Ald: Dupuis introduced "A By Law to open up
the original allowance for a street between lots 378 and 379
and part of the original allowance for West street in the City
of Kingston which was read a first time

A Communication from Messrs Bawden and Machar was
read In Re opening up of a street between Queen and Colborne
streets over property belonging to members of the family of the late
Revd Mr Herchmer. A mem from James Agnew Esquire City
Solicitor was read In Re By Law to open street near Queen street
School

Rule 30 of the Rules and Orders of the Council was suspended
for the evening as relates this By Law

The Council went into Committee of the whole on the
second reading. Ald: C.F. Gildersleeve here entered

Alderman Gordon in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received

The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald: McIntyre introduced "A By Law to provide standing
