On motion of Ald J Carson seconded by Ald Gage
Ordered, That the petitions of Charlotte Woollard and B Thorn be referred
to the Court of Revision

Ald Gage brought up the petition of CP Bell and others asking
for a lamp on Colborne Street between Division and Chatham Streets

On motion of Ald Gage seconded by Ald J Carson
Ordered, That the petition of WP Bell & others be referred to the
Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to report

Ald McGuire brought up the petition of Wm H Reid asking for Butchers License

On motion of Ald McGuire seconded by Ald Clement
Ordered, That the petition of WH Reid be granted on complying with the
usual conditions

Ald McGuire brought up the petition of Colonel Campbell and others asking
for a site in the City Park or Cricket Field for Skating Rink purposes

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petition of Col Campbell and others in reference
to Skating Rink be referred to the Committee on the Park to report

Ald Clements from the Committee on Finance and Improvements
brought up Report (No 100 Book E) which was read and
adopted

The Mayor presented a Report (Number 101 Book E) from the
delagation appointed to go to London, In Re Provincial Fair which
was read and adopted

Ald Anglin introduced a By Law to amend the Market
By Law, which was read a first time

The 29th Rule was suspended and Council went into
Committee of the Whole on the second reading of the By Law

The Council resumed, the Committee rose and reported progress and
asked leave to sit again

Teh Report was received

On motion of Ald Irving seconded by Ald McMahon
Ordered, That it be an instruciton to the Committee on Fire, Water,
and Gas to advertise for tenders for the supply of Oil and lighting
sustaining and keeping in repair Coal Oil Lamps for the next
twelve months

The Council went into Committee of the Whole on the second
reading fof the By Law to amend the Fresh meat By Law

Ald Anglin in the Chiar
The Council resumed. The Committee rose, reported progress and asked
leave to sit again. The Report was received

On motion the Council adjourned
