Ordered, That the property of Ald: Allen be assessed at the
same rate as former years.

Ald: Allen brought up the petition of S.S. Phippen respecting taxes.

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Robinson
Ordered, That the petition of S.S. Phippen be referred to the Court
of Revision

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Robinson
Ordered, that the Finance Committee provide and place to the
credit of the Mayor the sum of eight hundred dollars for the year 1881.

Ald Gaskin brought up the petition of Hugh Crumley and others
residents of Victoria Ward complaining about the Street Railway Company
erecting stables in their vicinity.

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald. J. Wilson
Ordered, That the petition of Hugh Crumley and others in reference
to the erection of Street Railway Stables be referred to the Committee
on Streets and Improvements to report

Ald R.J. Carson from the Committee on Finance and Accounts
brought up a Report (No 87 Book E.) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and Improvements
brought up a Report (No 88. Book E.) which was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald Robinson seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the Mayor, Aldermen Allen, Gaskin, George A.
Kirkpatrick Esq and the mover be a delegation to wait on the Government
to press the claims of this City concerning the above measures when
Sir John A. McDonald returns to the Capitol.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas brought
up a Report (No 89. Book E.) which was read

Ald: W. Wilson moves seconded by Ald: McMahon
that the Report of the Fire, Water and Gas Committee be
received and adopted with the exception of the second clause

In Amendment
Ald McCammon moves seconded by Ald: Gaskin
That the account of Mr Bentley be struck out of the Report
Which being put was lost and the original resolution was adopted

Ald: Anglin Chairman pro tem from the Committee on the
Market brought up a Report (Number 90 Book E which was read
and adopted

On Motion the Council adjourned
