Ordered, that the petition of W. Allen Esquire referred to
by the Court of Revision be granted under the superintendent
of the City Engineers

The Chairman from the Committee on Licenses &c brought
up a Report (Number 82 Book E.) which was read & adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water & Gas
brought up a Report (Number 83 Book E.) which was read
and adopted

On motion of R.J. Carson seconded by Ald: Clements
Ordered, that this Council grant the sum of two hundred
dollars to the Citizens committee for the Celebration of Dominion
Day providing said Committee raise by subscription from the
citizens a sum not less than four hundred dollars for said
purpose and that the following members of the Council be part
of the Citizens Committee; His Worship the Mayor Aldn J. Wilson
C.F. Gildersleeve, Gordon, Smythe, Irving, W. Wilson and the mover

Ald: C.F. Gildersleeve introduced a By Law to appoint
a Collector for the municipality of the City of Kingston and
for other purposes. which was read a first time

The 29th Rule was suspended for the evening and the Council went into
Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald: Gordon in the Chair
The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman repeated the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause in Committee. The
Report was received

The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald: Robinson introduced a By Law to ratify and
confirm the sale of part of the Kingston and Phillipsville
Road which was read a first time

The 29th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

The Committee rose and the Chairman repeated the second
reading of the By Law. The Report was received

The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald: Gaskin introduced a By Law to partially
exempt from the payment of municipal Taxes the property of the
Kingston Knitting Company which was read a first time

The 29th Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the whole on the second reading.
