On Motion of Ald: Maloney seconded by Ald: Gordon
Ordered, that the report of the Committee on
Markets be referred to the Finance Committee to report

The Chairman from the Committee on City
Property brought up a Report which was read

On Motion of Ald Irving seconded by Ald: Newlands
Ordered, that the Report of the Committee on
City Property be referred to the Committee On Finance
to Consider in the Budget

Ald: McCammon introduced a By Law relating
to the impounding of Cattle and other Animals which
was read first time

Ordered, that the 29th Rule be suspended as to
the readings of this By Law and that the Council go
into Committee of the whole

Ald: R.J. Carson in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause as
amended. The Report was received.

The By Law was read a third time and passed

On motion the Council adjourned

A Communication from Messrs Macdonnell and Mudie
was read in Re Taxes Mrs Lucy B. Stone

On motion of Ald: R.J. Carson seconded by Ald: C.F. Gildersleeve
Ordered, that the Communication of Messrs Macdonnell
and Mudie be referred to the City Solicitor and Finance
Committee to report

A Communication from the Laboring men in the employ
of the City was read asking for increase of pay. Left over
