of the expenses of the Board of Public School Trustees
of the City for the year 1881.
On Motion of Ald: Irving seconded by Ald: J. Wilson
Ordered, that the Budget of Public Schools
be referred to the Committee on Finance to report
Communications from James Moulton Esquire, Reeve
of Rear of Leeds &c and Henry H. Turner Township Clerk
were read. In Re purchase of Kingston and Phillipsville
Road within the Leeds line. Ald: Gaskin here entered.
On motion of Ald: Robinson seconded by Ald: Allen
Ordered that the Communication of the Reeve
and Clerk of the Township of the Rear of Leeds &c Lansdowne
be received and that the Committee on Streets &c proceed
to have agreement settled accordingly

The Clerk read the Report of the City Auditors with
statements in duplicate
On motion of Ald: R.J. Carson seconded by Ald: C.F. Gildersleeve
Ordered, that the Report of the Auditors be
referred to the Finance Committee to report
A Communication from S.S. Phippin respecting Taxes
was read
Ald: Robinson and Gordon brought up the petitions
of William Allen, Joseph Murdock and J. H. Stone respecting
Taxes
On motion of Ald: Robinson seconded by Ald: Anglin
Ordered, that the petitions of William Allen and those
of several others as well as the letter of S.S Phippin be
referred to the Court of Revision
Ald: McCammen brought up the petition of Patrick
Delaney and 48 others praying that cattle may not be
impounded any further North than Bay street
On motion of Ald: McCammen seconded by Ald: Gordon
Ordered, that the Northern limit for special
cattle privileges be George, Picard and York streets
and that at the next meeting of this Council a By Law
be introduced to alter the present By Law
Ald: Allen brought up the petition of J.D. Waggoner
praying for a remission of fine
Ald: Allen moves seconded by Ald: McGuire
That the petition of D.J. Waggoner be referred to the
Committee on Streets to report

Ald: J.P. Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald: J. Carson
that the petition of D.J. Waggoner be not entertained
which being put was carried and the origional motion
was Lost
