A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present:
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Clements, CF Gildersleeve, Irving, Law, Maloney
McMahon, McRossie, Wilson
The meeting adjourned for want of a quorum.

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the
City of Kingston was held this day. Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, Anglin, Clements, Fee, Gaskin, CF Gildersleeve,
JP Gildersleeve, Irving, Law, Maloney, McCammon,
McGuire, McIntyre, McMahon, McRossie, Pense, Snook,
Wilson
The Mayor stated the Meeting was called to consider
the By Law granting a Bonus of fifty thousand dollars
to the Kingston and Pembroke Railway Company
On motion of Ald CF Gildersleeve seconded by Ald Snook
Ordered, That the Council do now go into Committee
of the whole on the second reading of the By Law to aid the
Kingston and Pembroke Railway
The Council went into Committee of the whole on
the second reading.

The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and Chairman reported the
following resolution adopted in Committe of the whole.
On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the following be a Committee to investigate
the By Law viz: the Mayor, Aldermen Harty, Gaskin, McIntyre,
Irving, Snook and the mover and that said Committee report
at a special meeting of this Council to be held on Friday next
at the usual hour. The Report was received.
On motion the Council adjourned
