Ordered that the petition of John Reeve be referred
to the Committee of Licenses &c to report at the next meeting
of the Council

Ald: Gaskin brought up the petition of Herman
Perry praying for repairs to Weigh - House building market
No 2.

On motion of Ald: Gaskin seconded by Ald: Fee
Ordered, that the petition of Herman Perry be
referred to Market No 2 be referred to Committee on the market
to report.

Ald: Allen brought up the petition of William Carey
respecting Taxes

Ald: Allen moves seconded by Ald J.P. Gildersleeve
that the prayer of Mr Carey's petition be granted

In Amendment

Ald: McIntyre moves seconded by Ald: J.P. Gildersleeve
that the petition of Williaj Carey be referred
to the Court of Revision with power to act - which being
put was Carried and the original motion was lost

Ald Gaskin from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up two Reports (Numbers 25 & 26
Book E.) 1&2 which were read

On motion of Ald: Gaskin seconded by Ald: Harty
Ordered, that the reports 1 and 2 of Committee on
Finance be recieved and adopted.

Ald: McIntyre from the Committee on back Taxes
brought up a Report (Number 27 Book E) which was
read. read before August 9th 1880

On motion of Ald: Harty seconded by Ald: Mc Intyre
Ordered that the report of the Back Tax Committee have
precedence of all reports after that of the Finance Committee

Ald: McIntyre moves seconded by Ald McGuire
That the report of the Committee on back Taxes be
received and adopted

In Amendment
Ald: McRossie moves seconded by Ald: Harty
that the object of the Committee on back Taxes be
taken up Clause by Clause. which being put was Carried
and the original motion was lost

On motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald McGuire
Ordered, that Clauses Nos 1, 2, 3 & 4 be received
and adopted.

On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded be Ald McGuire
Ordered, That Clause 5 be adopted
